“airport under heavy construction works. To be avoided if possible”

airport under construction/ renewal.
To be avoided before completion of the works!
visa formalities: extremely poor and slow. 2 hours waiting
It’s still the same as it was 15 yers ago. It was renew a little but still the same.
Train comment: It had no trane at time I needed, so I had to go by bus
the airport is not too well organised, there are lines and overcrowding before the check in. Lots of shopping, but the actual airport is not too modern
Reviews of services: All is very expensive
The problem of the airport is that is not easy to get it by public transports. The new train is not promote enough. But the worst thing is that is impossible to eat or drink something, the price are crazy!!! You can advertise your clients that is better to drink or eat outside the airport. The services of the airport are not at the standard of Europe Airports. The costs of food and drink is crazy!!! The cost in the duty free is too much high!!
“I was glad to come back to Moscow and was dissapointed by Sheremetyevo Airport Service. It was my first deal with this airport, recently I used Domodedovo and Vnukovo, quite good so far. When I arrived we spent ab 30 minutes for our baggage coming, but it turned to be even worse when I finaly found it. It was damaged all over. I compained to the baggage service and they didn’t meet my demand. Their replay was : We cannot do enything, We receive too many luggages and we are not able to carry them careful to the customers. Anyway that was a funny reply. I doubt wether I fly again to Sheremetyevo.
Bus comment: to far from the 1 metro station.
Very bad Baggage Service in Sheremetyevo Airport. I recived my luggage very late and dammaged and no complains were forwarded to someone who was responsible for this service
We flew from Terminal 1. We missed our flight because of the the traffic jams around the airport and the queues to go through security on the way to check-in within the airport. We had to buy another ticket.
We used tyhe metro and aeroexpress train to get home. It’s not seamless, but it’s okay.
Thwe only problem is the train is not connected to terminal 1 and so we had to wait for a bus, so missed the train …and it took 3 hours to get home
We missed our plane due to airport security queues. We found little sympathy from ground staff who directed us to the wrong counter where we waited for nothing, only to be told to go to another counter, to get new tickets. A very expensive airport, for both refreshments and in terms of having to buy new tickets
Not friendly (unhelpful signs) unhelpful and inefficient staff
Other travel incidents: lost baggage – had to go through 9 (!!!) different “cliamed luggages” services before giving up..
Long waiting time to the visa control
The immigration is too strict and nobody seems to speak a word in English.
Most taxis cheat foreign tourists and there is no meter on taxi.
big groups of Chinese tourists in line and it took long time.
Arrived at new Terminal D. Very up to date. But, there are no car hire desks in this terminal! Have to take a bus to get to the desks in terminal F. With constant hassle from taxi drivers that want to take you there
No free WiFi. Better to wait your flight in Aeroexpress railway station in case you came there by Aeroexpress. Better service and fre WiFi
