It’s a clean, state-of-art airport. Flights arrive and depart on time. Service areas are nice and comfortable. Nice food and drinks, great shopping area
HEL always gets people through the check in queue really efficiently. I entered a huge line, and it took me only 10 minutes to reach the agent to check in.
what confused us was it says last checkin before 30 min so we had problems on that so try to say it we should have to be there before 1:30 before. unless every thing was good.Regards Alem
Still some re-birth pains due to reorganization of the terminals. Some bottlenecking at the baggage claim area. Looking forward to 5 year’s time when the rail connection to downtown is completed.
Ordinary bus line much cheaper than airport bus.
This airport has recently started a new system for which terminal different airlines use, and the info sign about in which terminal your luggage retrieval carousel was found was far too small and insignificant.
Customs/Visa formalities swift, no problems
The only services are related to restaurants or bars, no actually people from the airport helping the customers.”
Flight was on terminal 1.
There were a huge amount of people queuing even though the queues were not clear at all (we tried to find our which were the appropriate queue for our check-in but no one knew, not even the people actually queuing).
There were no one from the airport putting order and helping people. It was an absolutely MESS.
Glad that I did the check in through the self-checking so we could take the plane on time (we were there 2 hours before but this did not make any difference for the queuing time).
I am terribly sorry for the people queuing there hoping that they were in the right lane…
